Dump all your BURST Assets to buy only those active on MY forum! - Discussion Forum Admin instructs his members

  • Feburary 2, 2017

    BURST Nation News Desk

    For immediate release.

Corruption in the cryptocurrency community is not something new, it is rampant and last night, as some unsuspecting members of a discussion forum called Burst-Team were told by the Administrator that they should sell off any BURST Asset that is not actively promoting their asset on his forum.

    haitchDUMP.jpg

To the shock and dismay of the handful of active members there were questions raised about the totalitarian statement made by the forum Administrator who is known by his online moniker "Haitch" and has been quoted as saying "I am the forum GOD" among other concerning statements that has created discomfort for many who use the site as a source of information relating to BURST. In several instances where a moderator or regular member has addressed the questionably offensive actions of Haitch, they have had their posts removed swiftly and in some cases entire discussion threads locked so any further discussion can not take place. The most notable to date being BURST Development Team lead, the man most know as the friendly face of BURST.

"This type of Totalitarian regime behavior has no place in the BURST community" says one prominent member who has permanently left the burst-team forum, adding "I got into crypto because of it's decentralized fashion, Haitch wants to centralize and penalize anyone who does not agree with his plan" Thankfully Crypto is decentralized and will always remain that way, when it comes to BURST, the most notable is the fact that all transactions take place on the blockchain, sending and receiving coins, trading on the BURST Asset Exchange, crowdfunding and smart contracts, all created and executed in a fully decentralized manner.

The BURST community has seen incredible growth since it's inception three years ago. Constant development of innovative tools and features that serve the end user to ever expanding online communities such as Reddit, Twitter, YouTube and BURSTNation.com being the most recent addition to further increase the social presence of everything that is BURST.

We took a closer look into the Burst-Team forum to see just what may have been a precursor if any, to the recent events that have cause several prominent members to leave the community and conduct business and pleasure else ware. Our findings were quite shocking. While seeing many posts from members that did not agree with Haitch's disruptive and destructive stance being deleted, we did take note that special treatment was being given to a few Asset issuers, one of those who is also on the forum staff as an appointed moderator was challenged to prove his claims of his asset were not inflated to get as much money from the community as possible, who later cracked under pressure and publicly admitted to lying to the investors by inflating the numbers of hard drives he had mining while making payouts to the holders that did not match the earnings at all. This is dangerously similar to how ponzi schemes work. One thing the BURST community should clearly not support or endorse. However, Haitch deleted many postings from others in the community that spoke out on this particular asset issuer and showed his public support for it while encouraging his members to continue to invest into it.

Above, a screenshot of the asset issuer admiting he lied about his asset, inflating the actual holdings. Also take note of the "MOD" status on his name, indicating he is a forum moderator (staff) as well.

To add to the alarming discoveries that were made while perusing the Burst-team forum, it was found that Haitch has been actively encouraging the members of his forum who are asset issuers to send him full copies of their official government issues identification which he claims are needed to keep the community safe. To date, he has successfully convinced a great number of individuals to hand over their full private details that he claims to keep filed away in a physical location. Some may be comfortable with this process, however after tracing the location, one member had posted findings on the forum that the computer servers running the Burst-Team forums, leased or owned by Haitch are in a small facility that houses a firm who provides a court system data mining service to legal professionals. Keeping the community safe suddenly became a cause for concern with such disturbing findings.

Upon this information coming to light, several members including high profile ones, issued legal and public requests to have their private documents destroyed and not further kept or used in any way.

Is crypto turning into the wild west? Is there any place for such questionable actions being carried out and enforced by those claiming to be leaders in the community? How do you feel about this matter?

  • Honestly..... I don't know what they hell is going on anymore....

  • Honestly..... I don't know what they hell is going on anymore....

It's quite simple. For my part I no longer choose to go there, seeing as how the Forum Admin removes content as he pleases to fluff the truth and only show posts that put him in the good light and the scammers they harbor and let operate.

I sincerely tried to have my updates done on both forums but it seems that every time I would go there there was another situation that would make me cringe.

The biggest of all, is no, I will not put up anymore financial information on that site knowing it's proximity to L.E.

  • I never understood the verified by Haitch anyway....so he has someone's info...i don't have it...so i am relying on him if a problem arises...We have noticed a feud of sorts between high profile member of the community...I hope Burstnation takes the high road...that forum is dying anyway...Video updates like the one focus posted this morning makes me more comfortable than someone having someone else personal info that i still don't have access to...

  • The transparancy here is good, i agree that assets need to be verified with evidence. Corruption or mixed messages cannot be part of a healthy, trust-backed cryptocurrency. The strength of crypto is its decentralised openness to audit.

I could still do with a fox news style summary of whats happened, reads a bit like

'Good guy has left, Bad guy confronted over asset con!'

    Anyone?

The community here has a comon understanding that we support the mass adoption of BURST and will go to great lengths to do all in our power to protect the community from being taken advantage of. We are a positive community hub that is dedicated to providing the masses with all the information and tools that are needed to utilize and benefit in multiple ways from BURST.

Anytime the staff here gets a report of any individual or groups of people who are here with the intention to disrupt or disrespect others, the bad apples are plucked and thrown into a basket to rot. We must maintain a clean and beneficial community for all, since that is the only way we can continue to see daily adoption of BURST by so many new people to the scene.

  • In the case of Cryptocurrency on unregulated exchanges that are not regulated by anyone, persuing any sort of legal action is simply not something that will get you very far at all. You could try to launch a civil suit that someone stole your money, however then you would have to explain to the courts that you were involved in the buying of said unregulated asset offerings on the internet through a platform that is not operated by any particular individual.

In all certainty it would garner you plenty of attention from the concerned regulatory parties like the S.E.C , providing you or the issuer are based in the USA, if not, they could be based in a jurisdiction that would be nearly impossible to enforce any sort of suit, let alone the fact that most people are not so willing to travel to such jurisdictions that would be very costly, in order to launch said suit in that jurisdiction.

Furthermore, where are your signed documents promising returns, where are your verifyable transaction records, are you ready to pony up these details before the goosechase? Welcome to crypto, welcome to decentral station. This is the station that the courts and regulatory entities can not help you to recover from bad decisions you may have done by on your own willing choice. Scammers do not care if they supply their I.D to someone over the internet, they know that there will be no reprocussions after they pull their schemes, expecially in Crypto.

Always know, everything is at your own risk. Choose wisely based on the factors that suit you best, do your best due dilligence to assure yourself that your investments in this scene are smart ones, check track records of issuers, never invest more than you can afford to lose.

Where did you read it can be done?

  • Aslan

Who's got the best pool for about 20 TB

  • Aslan

@xlief123 from you to the internet, a few KB

  • Beerus Madness

so, on a technical level, can anyone explain what the hard drive scan does each round? Eg, new round starts, your hard drives get scanned, what are they looking for inparticulkar?

  • Aslan

Instead of like Bitcoin where the hashes are calculated on the fly with Burstcoin hashes are calculated in advance and indexed Then each round your miner looks for the best solution to the round that takes the least time.

  • laithe66

    Grats zen

  • laithe66

I hope you are being careful over there

  • xilef123

yes and how much data does it read from the drive?

  • Beerus Madness

So how does the pregenerated hash relate to the blockchain,

  • Beerus Madness

hmm, i think i need to find the poc whitepaper

  • laithe66

@ aslan we have solved 5 blocks in the last 9 hours and we could really use ur help.

  • laithe66

I wish Zen would come over to .RO ;-)

  • dtman101

xilef, it reads all the data from the drive (thats plotted)

  • dtman101

2TB external w/ a 1TB plot, the 1 TB of the drive will be read every new block. Thats why we dont really advise people to mine on an ssd

  • xilef123

it cant read 3tb every 3minutes

  • Beerus Madness

Oh right ok I see, so each nonce you generate is generated into a "target" (obviously the sha value of the full 256kb file is much lower) and each round a new basetarget is set by the blockchain and whoever gets closest to 1/1 wins.

  • dtman101

true. my 3tb drives are read @ a speed of 60MB/s and are read in 12 seconds, so i guess it doesnt have to read the whole plot. sorry i gave you an answer i thought i knew but was mistaken.

  • Beerus Madness

All thats actually being read is the index of targets you have on file

  • Beerus Madness

and if yours wins, it requests the full block to verify

  • dtman101

    thankyou for the clarification

  • xnoob2017

    hmmm

  • Beerus Madness

Well, this is what ive learned myself in the last, 10 minutes of skimming

  • Beerus Madness

    so could be wrong

  • xnoob2017

yeah put your feet up and get a drink Beerus

  • xnoob2017

    :)

  • xnoob2017

That doc is a long difficult read

  • dtman101

    it makes sense

  • Beerus Madness

Well if that truely is the case, I can make amazon drive etc work very easily

  • Tom

Good luck with amazon drive, many have tried and many have failed

  • Tom

If you can get it working though, make sure you post it, it could really help lots of people

  • Beerus Madness

:) Well they all fail at the same place, and that failure spot is kind of what my entire (real) job is related to.

  • Beerus Madness

time to get a notebook, sit down the garden and do some analysis

  • Tom

I could help you, I have an idea of how to get it working, but I don't have a drive account.

  • Tom

The main issue is 1)Plotting and 2) Reading from the drive fast enough

  • Tom

Plotting 1TB to an amazon drive will take multiple days.

  • Tom

All you need to do is use some software to mount the amazon drive to windows, plot on a local disk, transfer plots over to Amazon Drive

  • Tom

Also you have total bandwidth limitations

  • Naga_Dream

    hi
